What is your favorite unit to teach?
Executive Function skills (soft skills) related to learning in Middle School. In addition, mindfulness activities in the Academic Prep program teaches students on focusing on the “here and now” and why self regulation is just as important to enable and support the learning process.
What made you choose to come to Hillbrook to teach?
It resonated with my pedagogy of teaching the whole child and providing support for neurodiverse learners by basing their learning on their strengths and needs.
What are you most looking forward to at Hillbrook in the next few months?
Seeing middle-school students grow with the underlying belief that “being a lifelong learner requires perseverance and a willingness to be vulnerable with oneself.”
