What strikes you most about the students at Hillbrook?
What strikes me most about the students at Hillbrook is their curiosity for learning and how caring they are for one another. One of my favorite things to hear is “are you okay? What can I do to make you feel better?” Their curiosity demonstrates their love for learning and the care they have for one another.
When you think about the students at Hillbrook, what’s the one thing that stands out to you?
Something that stands out to me is their creativity. Hillbrook promotes creativity in many ways and the kids have definitely shown this through their playtime and academic time.
What is your favorite school tradition and why?
My favorite Hillbrook tradition is Flag. The fact that the children get to start their week with laughter is extremely unique and a great way for the children to get a giggle with their friends and teachers.
What made you choose to teach at Hillbrook?
Hillbrook’s unique mission and the campus environment were two huge reasons for my enthusiasm to work at Hillbrook. Its creek and neverending acres of trees are astonishing to look at.
What is the last book that you read?
I recently read Educated. This book reminded me of the value of education. It was great to read about others’ experiences through their academic process. 10/10 recommend.
