Hillbrook School is proud to join other area schools in partnering with CASA of Los Gatos, a nonprofit organization that brings parents, school and local government leaders together to foster healthy lifestyle choices for children. CASA holds monthly meetings on the 2nd Thursday of each month, which are open to everyone.
The meetings feature speakers on a range of topics related to parenting and youth, including health and nutrition, communication skills, education and more. They are also a place to hear about community news related to families and young people, as well as meet other local parents and exchange ideas. The next CASA meeting will be held October 8th, from 8:30-10am at the Professional Development Center at Fisher Middle School. It will feature guest speaker, Lisa DiMarino of Pacific Wellness on the topic: “The Hidden Face of Anxiety”

CASA also sponsors Red Ribbon Week in Los Gatos, which is coming up October 26-30th. Red Ribbon Week is a national campaign against drug abuse, which promotes education, prevention and making healthy lifestyle choices. The theme of Red Ribbon Week this year is Respect Yourself. Students are given Red Ribbon Week wristbands that they can use to receive discounts and free prizes at Los Gatos merchants.
