Celebrating the Kid in All of Us!

Dear Hillbrook Friends and Families,

Childhood is about discovery, exploration, and curiosity. It’s about finding the fun and humor and awe in the simplest things. Thinking back to our own childhood it seemed like summers lasted forever and everything was possible. The children on the Hillbrook campus have the opportunity to run, explore the creek, make music and art; they are challenged to be curious and take risks all while learning. We know we are somewhere special. It is no wonder that so many parents say, “I wish I could have gone to Hillbrook.”  So what better theme for the Hillbrook Benefit than “For the Kid in All of Us.”

As co-chairs of the Benefit, one of the greatest gifts that we have been given is our friendship with each other. We met one sunny morning last July and now feel like we have been friends forever. This feeling truly encapsulates what this event is all about: connection, community and friendship. We’ve taken our role very seriously and have personally “tested” everything from the wine to the band (you can thank us later!) all in the pursuit of an amazing night out. We’ve loved watching our committee grow, forged new connections, and been inspired by each other. Your generous donations of time and treasure have blown us away. We also cannot forget the contributions from the students, which are incredible, and we can’t wait for you to see their projects! This has been a labor of love for everyone involved.

The Hillbrook Benefit not only celebrates our community, but it supports it as well. We know that diversity strengthens and enriches the educational experience for each of our students. Nearly one in four of our students benefits directly from the Flexible Tuition Program each year. This year, Hillbrook aims to grow the portion of the school’s Endowment Fund committed to Flexible Tuition to $1 million, a move that will assure the longevity of this vital provision.

Our personal goal is to have more of our community attend the Benefit than ever before, and we hope you will join us for an amazing event!  We plan on creating an evening full of joy and wonder and possibilities—which will make you feel like a kid again.
